In accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 2127 (2013) of 5 December 2013 and UNSCR 2134 (2014) of 28 January 2014, EU Decision 2013/798/CFSP and EU Regulation 224/1024 provide for an arms embargo against the Central African Republic and the freezing of funds and economic resources of certain persons engaging in or providing support for acts that undermine the peace, stability or security of the Central African Republic.

There is an arms embargo for export, technical assistance, brokering and financial assistance. Some exceptions apply.
There are currently many persons on the list of people whose funds and economic resources are frozen.
Other sanctions
EU Member States must prevent the entry into, and the transit through, their territories of listed persons.
