      Since 2009, the EU has provided for certain restrictive measures concerning members of the National Council for Democracy and Development (NCDD) and individuals associated with them, responsible for the violent repression of 28 September 2009 or the political stalemate in the country. 

      Those measures include the freezing of funds and economic resources of the natural or legal persons, entities and bodies listed. The prohibition on the export, provision of technical and financial assistance and other services related to military equipments to any natural or legal person, entity or body in, or for use in, the Republic of Guinea, have meanwhile been lifted. Previous measures, now lifted as well, also included a prohibition on the sale, supply, transfer or export of equipment to the Republic of Guinea which could be used for internal repression

      There are currently no trade restrictions against Guinea.


      Financial sanctions: Listed persons & entities, restricted services

      There are currently 5 persons on the list of people whose funds and economic resources are frozen.


      Other sanctions

      EU Member States must prevent the entry into, or the transit through, their territories of listed persons.
